As the Maria Mitchell Association continues its mission to ignite lifelong curiosity in science through education, research, and direct experiences with Nantucket’s sky, land, and sea, the funds raised through this auction play a crucial role. Tickets may still be available to attend the Stargazer Gala, where you can embark on a wild west adventure, Nantucket style. The night kicks off with fare from Island Kitchen, a stop (or two) at Hatch’s Whiskey Bar, and all the frontier fun you can handle – from the mechanical bull and Texas Hold ‘Em, to roping, horseshoes, and plenty of photo opps. The party turns up a notch with live and silent auctions – followed by a rip-roaring performance by the Ben Allen Band that’ll have you two-stepping under the stars until 10 pm.
